Wunmi Adelusi

Wunmi Adelusi is a Chartered Accountant and Finance Specialist who is passionate about promoting stability, compliance, and integrity in the financial sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Covenant University, Nigeria and a master’s degree (with distinction) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds, UK. She also holds an MBA in Financial Management.

She is an expert in Finance and Risk Based Supervision, and currently serves as a Bank Examiner in the financial services industry. Prior to her current position, she worked as a Business Development Manager at a Private Accounting Firm where she led the team that audited Nigeria’s biggest political party in 2015. She was equally responsible for deploying strategies that increased the revenue collected by the firm on behalf of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) by 30% in 2015.

Adelusi represented Nigeria at the Africa Training Institute of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Mauritius and is the founder of an online community of millennial employees (@themillennialemployee on Instagram) where she shares information that encourages them to thrive in their careers. She also loves to volunteer and has worked in the past with Helping Other People Excel (HOPE), a teen-focused national NGO. She is an Associate of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ).

She enjoys writing and has contributed several articles on career development, academic excellence and faith, to BellaNaija, Africanism Cosmopolitan and Women of the God-kind, respectively.

Wunmi is happily married, and together with her husband, they have two boys.
