Chude Jideonwo is the host and director of #WithChude – the viral talk show and podcast speaking to Africa’s most compelling celebrities and leaders about the mind, the heart, and the spirit. He is also chief executive of the media-tech streaming platform, withChude.com, dedicated to viral documentaries and factual films from Africa. His first film, Awaiting Trial, was honoured for ‘Best Documentary’ at the Africa International Film Festival and the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.
He co-founded media group RED | For Africa and human flourishing company Joy, Inc. RED has worked on national elections and social movements in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Senegal, and Joy, Inc. has worked with organisations from the Ford Motor Company to the Lagos State Government on building safe, warm spaces across business, government, and culture.
He has been a Forbes 30 under 30 honouree, a CNBC Young Business Leader of the Year winner, an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellow, and a World Fellow at Yale University. He has also been board member at Microsoft 4Afrika, the Oando Foundation and The Initiative for Equal Rights, whose board he chairs. His writing and work have been featured on the New York Times, Guardian, BBC, CNN, Aljazeera, Huffington Post and the Financial Times. He is the author of two books, Are We the Turning Point Generation? and How to Win Elections in Africa: Parallels with Donald Trump, and he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Pan Atlantic University.
Jideonwo advises and consults for non-profits and corporations across the world on media and storytelling, democracy and human rights, including Meta, Google, the Gates Foundation, the Africa Union, the British Government and the United States Government. In 2024, he was appointed the Creative-In-Residence at the London School of Economics.
