Chigozirim Otefe-Edebi
Chigozirim Ugomma Otefe-Edebi is a graduate of Biochemistry from the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. She has worked as an Integrated Communication Professional in the banking, telecommunications, media, health, entertainment and service sectors, since 2003 till date. She is also known as a professional event compere in her private time.
In the course of growing her communications and compere career, she also earned a lucrative side income as a distributor of electronics and consumer goods, as well as a radio show presenter and producer, receiving sponsorships from the FMCG and telecoms sectors for the show. In addition, she did a brief stint in a Nollywood premiered movie as well as a TV series production on Africas Magic, where she was part of the cast on both occasions. Later, she evolved into supplying props and set furniture to production designers in the entertainment industry.
In August 2017, Chigozirim invested in a psychiatric hospital facility, The Gracehill Place, in Lagos, with a vision to become the largest private mental health service provider in Nigeria and Africa, and a place of employment, practice and research for mental health practitioners and professionals. She juggles the management of this enterprise while being a middle management employee of a business service conglomerate. She lives in Lagos with her husband, Dr Otefe Edebi and her children, Oghenetega and Eseoghene.
